Energy Production
The Muskegon County Resource Recovery Center has produced energy using a hydroelectric plant, and our on-site County landfill pumps its methane gas 6.5 miles to local industries for direct burning.
Other possibilities include generating energy from:
- waste grease
- storage lagoon algae
- wind
- corn + soybean grain
- livestock waste (methane, electricity, ethanol, or bio-diesel)
