The Muskegon County Resource Recovery Center (MCRRC) and Whitehall Township (Township) will hold a public meeting on a proposed water system improvement project for the purpose of receiving comments from interested persons. Prein&Newhof is working with the MCRRC on behalf of the Muskegon County Board of Public Works to develop a project planning document to apply for funding from the State Of Michigan.
The public meeting will be held during the Muskegon County Board of Public Works meeting at 4:00 p.m. on May 4, 2023 in the auditorium of the Muskegon County Marquette Campus, located at 1903 Marquette Avenue, Muskegon, MI 49442.
The purpose of the proposed project is to construct an extension to the Whitehall Township drinking water system to supply 32 residences with drinking water. Based on the project cost the Muskegon Municipal Management Committee may recommend a cost equivalent of $0.74 per residential equivalent user per month to the Public Works Board for final approval.
