MCWMS Awarded Grant By Community Foundation

Thanks to the hard work of employee volunteers, Muskegon County Wastewater Management System was awarded a grant to provide improvements to our on site nature trail. The newly named John J Helstrom Nature Trail will be a valuable asset to visitors and employees alike. The trail is about one mile in length and contains visual aids and rest station at many locations to aid visitor’s educational and recreational experience. This program is made possible in part by a grant from the John J. Helstrom Memorial Fund of the Community Foundation for Muskegon County.

 

The RRC writes a periodic newsletter that contains information about our department. This document is distributed to retirees, local communities, local elected officials, environmental groups, and other interested parties.
