The Muskegon County Resource Recovery Center (MCRRC) will hold a public meeting on proposed wastewater collection system improvement projects for the purpose of receiving comments from interested persons.  Prein&Newhof is working with the MCRRC on behalf of the Muskegon County Board of Public Works to develop a project planning document to apply for funding from the State of Michigan.

The public meeting will be held during the Muskegon County Board of Public Works meeting at 4:00 p.m. on April 6, 2023 in the auditorium of the Muskegon County Marquette Campus, located at 1903 Marquette Avenue, Muskegon, MI 49442.

The purpose of the proposed projects is to construct necessary improvements to important wastewater pipelines in the system.  Two proposed pipeline projects will replace old sewer pipes and lower the risk of pipeline failure.  Based on the project cost the Muskegon Municipal Management Committee may recommend a cost equivalent of $5.02 per residential equivalent user per month to the Public Works Board for final approval.  Copies of the plan detailing the proposed project are available for inspection at the following location(s):
